One of the most important problems regarding translations involving Arabic as a target language is no doubt the lack of technical terminology in the latter. While Arabic is a rich language, perfectly coded and vehicles thousands of years of rich literary heritage, it remains that it - or at least its speakers, did not follow the changes which the world has known since the industrial revolution. The scarse attempts, mostly by individual linguists, to build terminology databases and specialized dictionaries remain very subtle and, at times, use far fetched arabized translations which the Arabs themselves have never heard of.
Another problem is the diversity of Arabic dialects which differ from country to country. Although classical Arabic remains the common denominator for all these countries, The differences of the local dialects is such that two citizens from two different Arab countries would not understand each other using their respective vernaculars. Some of these differences have been a direct result of the colonial language which instilled its vocabulary and idioms in the once Arabic language: French for North Africa and English for the Middle East.
Strangely enough, these vernaculars seem to be more alive and flexible to change than the rigid, well preserved Koranic language referred to as Classical Arabic. Translations towards these languages could have been much easier and more practical had it not been for the weakness of their morphological structures, and the fact that they are only oral languages which do not have formal written forms. I never understand it when people (mostly westerners, post jobs and talk about Arabic (Egypt), or Arabic (Algeria) or Arabic (Qatar). All these countries, when it comes to formal documentation, use a formal Arabic language which is common to all of them. Unless the job poster really needs translations into those Arabic-related dialects, specifying formal Arabic from a specific country is equivalent to saying, we want football rules from a specific country - as if each country had its own football rules - although the simile should not be pushed too far.
All in all, given the fact that translating technical documentation into Arabic is by far the most difficult thing to do due to the reasons mentioned above, as a translator, I personally always look the other way when Arabic is involved as a target language in technical translations.

This is true to many languages, and the reason why translators often translate from a specific field of knowledge and into their own native language. Every technical field has its own experts and its jargon. When you translate into arabic, or any other language, you need to choose the terms that the majority of that language's speakers will understand. And sometimes the proper translation option for very technical terms is not translating at all, since even foreign language speakers will understand the source term better than if you provided a translation with the same meaning but odd and unheard of in that practical field.

In any case, thanks for the effort to the OP!
