Hi, thanks for the plugin! It works great after a couple of changes

1- Make is insert the JS tag after the
and not before the
becaus it will cause errors when there is some JS executed before the files are loaded. Eg.

Because you are loading the mootools script file after the script code, it will cause JS erros

2- Join every JS file using a new line ("\n") and not an empty string. Some JS files doesn't have a new line at the end of the file and that may cause parsing errors when joined to other JS file.

After doing those changes, I don't have to exclude any files
|

Interesting suggestion guilleva, i've also noticed the problem with the
tag and i have already solved it on my own before reading your post, but concerning to the new line after each JS file, i'm not sure about where i need to modify the code to acomplish that, can you please post here the necessary changes?

thanks in advance,

regards,
|

Hi, the change I made was in the file js_merge_php4.php function makeJsold

I changed the line:

$data .= $this->clear_js($content);

by:

$data .= "\n". $this->clear_js($content);

that wont prevent conflicts with JS files that doesn't have new line at the end of the file.
|

Many thanks for the tip, guilleva. I've found two lines of code matching your example, so i've replaced them both. I already need to fix the bug with @imports in CSS files (see my other thread in this forum). May be that you can help with it...

First off let me start by stating that Real Id has the potential to be an amazing feature for the game. The functionality that it adds is amazing and makes me excited to play on the Battle Net. However, in its current form many of my friends will not be using it and its functionality is greatly reduced. Regardless of whether you are a privacy concerned player or a player that wants to embrace Real Id for the functionality that it provides and views the privacy concerns of others as insignificant and foolish it is in your best interest to suggest ways to improve Real Id and hope that Blizzard listens.

Real ID Suggestions:

I understand the goal of Real ID is to allow people to "socially network" the problem is that it adds a level of functionality to the game that does not exist without it. It adds so much that many view it as not optional. While others are so offended that they choose to ignore using an amazing new feature of WoW. I would suggest 5 changes:

1. CHANGE: Add an "invisible" feature that so many program such as gmail have.

RATIONALE: It would allow players to play WoW for fun and stress relief rather than allowing others to track them down and socially coerce them into a group activity that the individual does not want to participate in.

COST: GMs and other "organizer" style players would lose the capacity to find players from their guilds to complete content.

RESPONSE: If the goal of Real Id is to connect players with other players without the traditional boundaries of character identity and game world identity (WoW v. SC2 v. Diablo 3) then the only option for players using Real Id is to not log on to the Battle.net if they want to remain stress free. Games should be about having fun rather than fulfilling obligations and more people will use the feature if they know they can't be tracked down. Furthermore it increases the chance that someone that ACTUALLY WANTS to be raiding can be found on an alt if an unexpected raid occurs without the negative consequence.

2. CHANGE: Add an option to disable appearing on "friend-of-friend" lists.

RATIONALE: This would eliminate a large portion of the players' concerns. If Friend-of-Friend is required for some reason I would suggest allowing players to have an alias (for their account rather than tied to a character) that shows up on Friend-of-Friend. This would require players to actively check on and would not be the default setting but would allow privacy conscious individuals to have an option.

COST: "Friend-of-Friend" lists would be smaller and might not be totally inclusive.

RESPONSE: Currently a large portion of the game is unwilling to use the feature, this would increase the use of Real Id and probably keep "Friend-of-Friend" lists the exact same size. One would assume the goal is to find other friends that are playing WoW or other battle net games and to keep in contact with them across servers so the choice of server to play on is not as limiting a choice. Unfortunately, many of my friends refuse to use Real Id because of the "Friend-of-friend" list, making individual appearance on the list optional would increase Real Id's use and make it a better feature for most if not all players.
|

Hi,

Note:
you need to populate all new disk enclosures with at least 1 disk.

Assuming that your current configuration of 12 disk enclosures is nicely verticaly distributed (default RSS disk count is . you can only continue in this direction.

The best is to create a map of existing RSSes via the SSSU.

Then either online via the ungroup/reshuffle/group operation you can involve the new disk enclosures into the DG back-end game.
(as you said it is longer method)

or you can do it offline (with a relatively short downtime) and reshuffle some physical disks (or part of the RSSes) to the new disk enclosures to have nice vertical config across the 2 disk racks (quicker method)
If you do it in the strict vertical manner, then if any of the new enclosures have problems with its backplane (multiple disk failure) it will be only a 1 disk failure in the whole DG (only 1 RSS member in each enclosure), which the DG can nicely survive assuming that such a kind of failure does not occur in more then 1 new disk enclosure at a time...
|
