<p>Joomla 1.5.15</p>
<p>cssjscompress v1.0</p>
<p>smartoptimizer v1.7</p>
<p>I am currently utilizing cssjscompress v1.0, alongside with smartoptimizer. I can't tell you if the actual performance is any better in using both at the same time, but I can tell you that yslow is giving a better score for my site as a result. The option to optimize JS files seems to just bunch them into one http request, which gives a better score with the 1 file download on my site, compared to 11 for JS without it enabled.</p>
<p>I can also tell you that all subsequent versions of cssjscompress did not play well with my site in combo with smartoptimizer, only v1.0 played well in combo.</p>
<p>I am having an issue with the option "optimize JS files" checked, when utilizing "add event" in eventlist. the calendar JS does not work, and subsequently, even if I enter the date in myself, it will not submit properly.</p>

<p>Have you ever try the version 3.3? If it exist problems, please tell me the exact problem.</p>
<p>Or you can still use v1.0. I have checked, it doesn't have security problem in v1.0.</p>

<p>You don't feel the perhormance improvement, this maybe your browser has cached all javascripts and css files.</p>
<p>So it don't need to download from the server.</p> |

<p>Hi everyone! I am trying out V 3.3 today, and I am able to get everything working (so far) except the CSS aggregation. The weird thing is, this is one of the few things that would work for me with V1.1  </p>
<p>So, when I have optimize css files turned on, my site seems to loose all its format, and goes all down the left side of the page. I am using RT Versatility4 template. I would really like to get this fixed, and stay with v3.3 - as css optimize is what really boosts my yslow score, by aggregating all the files into 1 Keep in mind I am also running smartoptimizer in unison with this as well, but there were no issues with CSS optimize with V1.1 and SO 1.7...</p>
<p>BTW I was able to resolve the previous issue I had with V1.1 (and optimize JS enabled - eventlist would not allow an event to be added) - by upgrading to v3.3 and simply adding the component to the "exclude components" box.</p>
<p>Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!</p>

<p>I was wrong, I still have issues with v3.3 - now this is more than likely due to the template I am using as stated in earlier post - at any rate - this tamplate utilizes rokslidestrip.js - and, if I enable JS optimize, it gets KO'd, even if I put it in the exclude JS box.</p>
<p>As well, I tried everything I could think of, which, basically included putting ALL CSS files Yslow was showing into the exclude CSS box, and still my template was frigged. - Interestingly, one page on the template seemed to work fine? - Eventlist page worked great - so did the menu on the page etc yet every other page went tits up.</p>
<p>All the while, with one thing here or there enabled, and for all the trouble, my yslow scores dont come close to what they were before, so I'm going to switch back to V1.1 at this point, let me know if you think you might have an idea how to resolve the sidestrip issue, and the CSS template breakdown issue with V3.3, I am willing to give anything a go at this point, to get up to this version - but I just can't get it to work like v1.1 at this time ;(</p>
