<p>I installed the plugin but I dont' recognize any major changes, my site has gone from 10 css files to 8. I thought it was supposed to be 1? Same thing with the js scripts still more than 1? HTTP requests have stayed the same.</p>
<p>Not really sure what else needs to be done after enabling the plugin?</p>
<p>Plus, its causing 500 internal server error problems when I click certain thing son my site?</p>
<p>Using newest version, anyone have any ideas?</p>

<p>500 error may caused by PHPSUExec.</p>
<p>Some hosting server may install PHPSUExec.</p>
<p>More details please refer:</p>

<p>To check your server has installed PHPSUExec.<br /><br /> "In fact, having 777 permissions on your scripts or the directories they<br /> reside in will not run and will instead cause a 500 internal server<br />error"<br /> "chmod a file to 777. If you find you can no longer access it via your<br /> browser, you are running phpSuExec."</p>
<p>Perhaps you can change the cssjscompress files permission from 777 to 644</p> |

<p>I threw a text file into the root of my site and changed file permissions to 777 and I was still able to access it through a browser so I don't think I have phpsuexec installed?</p>
<p>Excuse the ignorance; this is my first site.</p>
<p>Have any other ideas why it isn't combining the scripts of css and js?</p>

<p>I looked in the Plugins/system/CssJsCompress folder and its all set to 644 so what can be causing this?</p>
<p>Is the PHPSUSExec also the reason why the plugin isn't working? (ex. combining css and js files into one file)</p>
<p>What should I try now that I know I have PHPSUSExec and I tried changing the files in the cssjscompress folder and they were already set to 644?</p>

<p>Please change to the following dir:</p>
<p>/plugins/system/CssJsCompress/</p>
<p>and make sure both css.php and js.php have permission of 644.</p> |

<p>The link that gives me the 500 error, if i click it several times all of a sudden it starts working and doesn't give me the 500 error so now I'm completely lost. Either way, with the 500 error or not, I still can't get this plugin to condense the css as 1 and the js files as 1 so at this point its not working out for me. I'm going to try smartoptimizer to see if I can speed things up. I really wanted to get to use this as I read great things about it. If you have more things I can try I am willing to do it.</p>

<p>Perhaps you also need to check the parent folder of CssJsCompress, make sure all folders have permission of 644.</p>
<p>Since it have 500 error, your server should have the error log, perhaps you can find them and paster them so that we can find solutions.</p> |
